Sunday 1.2 Gulfstream Park Pick: God's Tipster's FREE race of the day is the 8th, with Paco Lopez on a longhot
Saturday’s Race Recap from Aqueduct, Gulfstream and Oaklawn Park:
(All odds US)
Race replays for yesterday’s races from Aqueduct can be found here:
Race 5: 7th@ 5.80/1
Race 8: 6th@ 8.30/1
Our 2022 at Aqueduct got off to a slow start as The Institute stalked the pace and wasn’t able to quicken turning for home fading to seventh in the mud. Inside paths have been winning all day so far. By Race 8, the track is an absolute mess and they needed to change camera angles to show the race through the foggy conditions. Mr. Jefferson kept to the inside path stalking the pace but had nothing when it counted finishing 6th.
(Race replays for yesterday’s races from Gulfstream can be found below):
Race 4: 3rd@ 1.80/1
Race 7: 2nd@ 1.50/1
Race 9: 1st@ 1.30/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
In Race 4 at Gulfstream, it was Kathleen O. who closed into a fast pace and blew the doors off the field. Fast and Flirty stalked but wasn’t able to quicken at the same pace as the eventual winner. In Race 7, Of a Revolution got us one step closer to our first win of the year as he stalked and was gaining too late on the winner settling for 2nd. In Race 9, the Dania Beach, Grand Sonata sat third off a slow pace set by his stablemate and just got up for the win in the shadow of the wire at 6/5 odds off a 7/2 morning line.
Race 1: 3rd@ 1.40/1
Race 9: 10th@ 2.50/1
(Replays from Oaklawn Park are not available)
Our 2022 actually began with Race 1 from Oaklawn. Forsaken stalked the pace like we hoped and he ranged up turning for home but wasn’t able to pass the leader and eventual winner fading to third in the lane. In the Smarty Jones, Home Brew stalked early in 6th and made a move turning for home over the muddy strip but wasn’t able to keep pace when the real running began finishing tenth.
A win, a second and two third place finishes from seven picks to start 2022.
We’ve got a mix of Aqueduct and Gulfstream Park to close out the opening weekend of 2022. We expect rain at Aqueduct and sunny skies at Gulfstream. For the full rundown, go here.

Sunday at Gulfstream Park:
Race 8: Bayou Benny - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 20/1)
This is a tricky race. At first glance, BagBoss and Uphold the Law look formidable based on their most recent starts. But I’m dubious of the company both kept in their respective wins. Both also have very similar running styles and might just run one another into the ground. Bayou Benny picks up Paco Lopez and adds blinkers and comes out of a race where the winner came back to repeat. This one runs second off the layoff with two workouts in his holster and might’ve needed that start. The rider change to Lopez might just make the difference at long odds here.
Best of luck to everyone playing Sundays races from Aqueduct and Gulfstream Park.
