We are back and refreshed for another exciting week of racing. We’re going to head to Aqueduct where we expect fast racing conditions and chilly temperatures.

Let’s get the party started 🥳

Thursday picks for Aqueduct:

Race 1: Keen Dancer - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 30/1)

Looking to start the week off with some fireworks as NY bred maidens race a mile. Caragate, Doc Doc Rock and Wicked Lady are all very logical runners in this race and Keen Dancer is liable to be higher than the 30/1 morning line based on her drubbings in her first two starts, however she did show improvement from start 1 to start 2 and she’s adding blinkers today. Her issue in her first two starts has been that she’s been slow into stride and that reflects in her past performance lines but what’s slipping under the radar is the fact that she’s put up incremental pace figures of 33.61 and 33.33 closing in her first two starts. Those closing fractions were the second fastest and the fastest in those two races she’s run. It’s a low profile barn but after viewing replays, it looks like they’ve been prepping this one for longer. She’s a half to two siblings who won at a mile and with Keen Ice as her sire you know she’s going to want more ground than she’s been getting. They could’ve entered her in a maiden claiming race again and didn’t. Expecting an improved effort at very long odds.

Race 3: Addilyn - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 8/1)

Claiming level fillies and mares race 6 furlongs and if ever there was a race to set up for a runner like Addilyn, it’s this one. 18% winning trainer teams up with an 18% winning rider but this one should still sneak under the radar of most bettors because her connections are far from household names. With 5 or 6 of the 9 runners in here seemingly preferring to gun to the lead, Addilyn should have plenty of pace to close into and plenty of tired horses to run down. With two seconds and two thirds at this distance and the field’s second highest overall speed figure, 8/1 seems more than fair.

Race 4: Noble Thought - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 6/1)

Basement level claimers race a mile here and we’ve got a fair bit of speed on here. With all that pace I’m hoping that sets the table for Noble Thought who didn’t have a chance last time out against Blewitt who was loose on the lead. Noble Thought has races from his past that would crush these and hails from a 19% barn. He also happens to be 1 for 1 at this mile distance on the main track. 6/1 looks good for him

Best of luck to everyone playing Thursday’s races from Aqueduct!
