Our day began with two wins! Script (3.45/1) changed tactics and was sent to the lead and led the field on a merry chase with a gate to wire score in Race 1. In Race 2, Autumn Glory (7.90/1) stalked the pace and pounced to win smartly on debut and give us a natural double. In Race 3, Guildsman was taken too far off the pace and was given too much to do in the stretch finishing 5th. Legit didn’t offer much in Race 4 for us finishing 5th. In Race 5, Etheric was given a sharp ride by Fergal Lynch and weaved his way through traffic finishing second to a good looking debut winner. In Race 6, our wild longshot - StJames was taken well behind and was moving best late finishing 4th at 33/1. In Race 7, Sharp Starr moved on the turn but nobody was catching Lady Rocket today. She blasted this field. In Race 8, the Remsen, Eloquist was taken far off the pace at long odds and offered a mild bid behind a showdown among the 7/5 and 6/5 favorites in a thriller of a race. In Race 9, Tap the Faith closed mildly for an unthreatening fifth. In the Cigar Mile, Code of Honor sat the perfect trip off the speed but just didn’t have it today in his final career start.
Here in the States, Saturday was a modestly profitable day for us and I’m hoping it was for you wherever you are, depending on what bookmaker you use.
We’ll close out our week at Aqueduct with a few Sunday races. Once again we’re expecting chilly temps with a fast main track and a firm turf course. Let’s get started.
Sunday picks for Aqueduct:
Race 1: Orma - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 12/1)
Maiden claimers sprint on the turf and one that will likely be overlooked is Orma who’s coming off a September layoff for trainer James Bond. Bond is winning at 27% so far this meet and this runner has two races in her past performances that would make her dangerous in here at a price. Bombs away to start the day!
Race 5: Byhubbyhellomoney - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 5/1)
Sprinters line up to race 7 furlongs and our three morning line favorites are all speed speed speed runners. Our selection likes to close from well back and is cutting back from a longer race on a muddy track. This one fell just under 2 lengths short of our 6/5 morning line favorite two starts back but with added pace pressure that could set the table for this runner who should be moving late.

Race 7: Bossmakinbossmoves - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 6/1)
Our second of two mashed-together names beginning with a “B”. More NY bred sprinters head to the post and this is another race where there’s a bunch of speed signed on and not many closers. Our selection should have the run of the race for a barn that excels with two-year-olds.
Race 10: Our Last Buck - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 4/1)
NY bred stakes runners sprint here and with an abundance of speed signed on, Our Last Buck should be able to sit the right trip off the early speed and take command. Jockey Kendrick Carmouche piloted this runner to a smart win over this track and distance earlier this year and this one’s record over the surface at the distance looks strong enough to warrant a wager.
Good luck to everyone playing Sunday’s races from Aqueduct!
