Friday 12.3 Aqueduct Picks: God's Tipster likes longshots in two races after hitting a 14-to-1 winner Thursday

His first post is 12:48 pm EST.

Thursday’s Race Recap from Aqueduct:

(All odds US)

Replays for yesterday’s races from Aqueduct can be found here:

Aqueduct:

Race 4: 3rd@ 13.20/1

Race 7: 5th@ 3.65/1

Race 9: 1st@ 14.00/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🥃

In Race 4 we were David trying to take down Goliath but Radio Days was just too good and ran off with race 4. In Race 7, Girl Dad had decent positioning and turning for home our rider didn’t do much with it taking him inside without much kick. In Race 9, Courvoisier stalked the pace and pounced to grind out a win at an overlaid 14/1.

We’ll stay at Aqueduct for Friday’s races where we’re expecting similar mild conditions to what we had today with a fast main track and firm turf course. Let’s get to work!

Friday picks for Aqueduct:

Race 3: Midnight Worker - 2 pts win (US Morning Line Odds: 9/5) BEST BET

Two year old turf sprinters square off in this allowance race and we’ve got fillies and colts in this one. Midnight Worker is dropping out of graded stakes races for top trainer Todd Pletcher (24% wins) and jockey Irad Ortiz - with whom he’s winning with a whopping 44% of his runners. We’re not likely to get 9/5 odds on this runner here in the States but if you can get those odds locked in they offer excellent value.

Race 7: Bronx Bomber - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 12/1)

Claiming sprinters go 6 furlongs and they’ll all be trying to run down Steam Engine in the lane. That one will likely set a quick pace with the favorites in the stalking positions. Bronx Bomber is one who has shown the ability to close from a little off the pace and has caught Steam Engine the last three times they’ve faced one another. I mention this because I feel Steam Engine is better than his 8/1 morning line says he is. Bronx Bomber tried stakes company last out without Lasix and ran abysmally. Now Lasix is back on as is jockey Trevor McCarthy who rode this horse to back-to-back career high speed figures on this surface and distance earlier this year. He’ll likely be overlooked due to speed figures in his last few starts but with a recent bullet workout, I’m chomping at the bit to play this one at 12/1.

Race 10: Happy Hill Lil - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 15/1)

We’ll close the day the same way we opened the day - turf sprinters! And this time they’re NY breds. Happy Hill Lil will need to draw into the race from the also eligible list but she deserves a long look if she gets in. She owns the top speed figure at the distance by a fairly wide margin. She’s now reunited with the same rider with whom she earned back-to-back wins sprinting on turf in September - both at long odds and she seems to almost always end up being drawn outside as both of those wins came from post position 12. If she draws in today she’ll break from the outside again and 15/1 on this runner sounds like a good bet to me.

Best of luck to everyone playing Friday’s races from Aqueduct!
