Wednesday 11.17 Churchill Downs Picks: God's Tipster picks claimers in the 1st, 5th and 9th races

No longshots, but winners still pay.

We are back with more racing action and we’re starting our week with partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures. We’re expecting a fast main track and there will be no turf racing as they’re still renovating the turf course. A few smaller priced horses today so please wager accordingly. Let’s get ready to RUMBLE.

Churchill Downs:

Race 1: Hayden’s Havoc - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 2/1)

Lower level claimers race 6 furlongs here and our selection is one coming off a March layoff. He’s got a few strong workouts off the bench including one blitz on Oct. 17th. Two of his career best speed figures have been put up at this track and distance. Yea nobody’s getting rich at 2/1 odds but if this horse is a shadow of his former self it should be too much for this field.

Race 5: Kasserine Pass - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 5/1)

Claimers race 5 1/2 furlongs here. Kasserine Pass is 2 for 5 at this distance lifetime and owns a speed figure at least 6 points higher than anyone else at this distance. Recently moved to the barn of Robertino Diodoro (27% wins this meet and 25% on the year) from a 16% barn, this miss has been given nearly two months off and should be primed for a big effort today off three recent works.

Race 9: Purrfect Love - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 3/1)

Maiden claimers race a mile and with no world beaters signed on, Purrfect Love’s most recent start where she earned a 56 speed figure gives her a higher main track speed figure here than all but one runner in here. The one runner who has a higher speed figure was claimed out from her most recent start where she put up the lowest speed figure of her career and was claimed from a high percentage barn to run in a barn that’s 0 for 4 at the meet and 10% for the year. Purrfect Love, on the other hand, comes from Helen Pitts’ barn which is winning at 27% this year with a 23% rider aboard. This runner is stretching out off a lifetime best in her last start and that’s a move this barn has connected with 25% of the time.

Best of luck to everyone playing Wednesday’s races from Churchill Downs!
