Race 2: 3rd@ 6.70/1

We began our Friday in Race 1 with Money Mike who broke slowly, ranged into contention like a good thing and then failed to go on flattening out to fourth. In Race 2, Star Alignment stalked the pace and persevered on but was passed by sharp looking first time starter - Smile Happy finishing third in a much improved effort from his first start. In Race 8, Sweet Dani Girl proved best as she stalked and pounced in mid-stretch to wear down the early pace-setters. The runner up from her debut race - Famed - runs on Saturday at Keeneland and is lined at 6/5. If you can get even money on her then take it because she will be 1/5 here.

We are just one week away from the Breeder’s Cup 😀 - America’s championship weekend of racing. In the meantime, let’s take a look at some races from Keeneland and Belmont for Saturday where we’ve got a 50/50 chance of rain at both locations. With all the rain we’ve got over the last few days I’ll be steering clear of turf racing this weekend because even if they do happen to race ok the grass the conditions will be boggy and most US runners are used to a firm surface.
