Race 9: SCRATCH

The expected rain hit Keeneland about an hour before the races began. That led to a late scratch of our selection in Race 9 - Elle Z. We began our day with Constitutional Law in Race 3 over a muddy track. Off a 1 year layoff, Constitutional Law stalked the eventual winner - Realm of Law until the final turn where that one drew away and heavy favorite - Waxman, passed us in the lane as we settled for third. In Race 7 we went with Joy Epifora who stalked the pace and made her move turning for home but failed to sustain her rally checking in fifth.

Let’s take a look at Saturday’s races from Belmont Park and Keeneland. With Breeder’s Cup only three weeks away, we’ll have a little lull in the major graded stakes action as most contenders rest up for their respective events but we do have the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Keeneland which is a Grade 1 event.
