It’s always nice to start a day with a WIN and that’s what we did with Ring Me Darling in Race 2 as she glided past and drew off for a convincing 7 length score. In Race 3, Alex’s Strike was bothered at the start and got the fast pace we had hoped for but Thirsty Betrayal nipped the speed horse with Alex’s Strike flying late for 3rd. In Race 6 we were taking a chance with Great North going turf to dirt for trainer Joe Sharp but that one disappointed mightily, breaking slowly and doing virtually no running. Great North might be better suited as a carnival pony.
