Belmont Park Thursday: God's Tipster's pick of the day is the 6th race, on opening day of the fall meet
Wednesday’s Race Recap from Delaware Park:
(All odds US)
Race 1: 3rd@ 1.90/1
Race 3: 6th@ 2.10/1
Race 7: 1st@ 4.90/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bleak 😳. That’s the way things looked after Races 1 and 3 today. Two races where I had pretty strong opinions but I have to remember that Delaware Park has cheaper races than we’re used to handicapping so class can sometimes be questionable. In Race 1 we got the speed dual we expected but our closer - Moon Me Again was taken far off the pace and the speed held well. Moon Me Again finished a non-threatening 3rd. In Race 3, Powerful Force never lifted a hoof in an awful effort as the only runner in the field with prior turf experience. We redeemed ourselves in Race 7 when Sprite’s Lady stalked and took over in the stretch. As expected, she was bet down to 4.90/1 from a dreadfully inaccurate 15.00/1 morning line. I was thrilled to speak to a few members who confirmed they got odds of 11/1 with their bookmakers.
We’ve been waiting since September 4 for racing to resume in the New York area after Saratoga closed and we’re happy to usher in the Belmont Fall Championship Meet with Thursday’s race card. There’s a 40% chance of rain for Thursday so we’re be handicapping for fast and firm conditions and will cross our fingers. Let’s get started.
Thursday pick for Belmont Park:
Race 6: Adelaide Miss - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 10/1)
Turf runners go a mile here and there’s a chance Adelaide Miss will be alone on the lead here. At juicy morning line odds of 10/1 Adelaide Miss races for a 22% trainer for a very strong rider with early speed types. This trainer wins with 26% of her runners coming second off a layoff as this one drops from the Virginia Oaks. Hoping the drop in class does the trick.
