Race 3: 5th@ 6.00/1
Race 5: 1st@ 1.45/1 - BEST BET 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Race 7: 10th@ 55.00/1
Race 8: GATE SCRATCH
We began the day with an uninspired effort from Win Worthy in Race 3. He was in contention until the far turn but the added distance appeared to be a bit too much for him. We got back to our winning ways in Race 5 when our BEST BET - Keepcalmcarryon - connected. In Race 7 we took a chance hoping No Salt would be left alone on a clear lead but that one never made it to the front and that was all she wrote. We closed out the day in Race 8 with Easy to Bless being a last minute scratch at the starting gate.
It’s Travers Eve - and New York Bred Day! Every horse that’s racing today at Saratoga was bred in New York, so let’s dig into the Friday card from Saratoga. I don’t love the races on a whole today and don’t want to waste my members hard-earned money so I’ve only got two selections. I promise we’ll have a bunch of plays for Saturday’s Travers day card. Once again we expect warm temperatures with fast and firm track conditions.
Friday picks for Saratoga:
Race 8: Sanctuary City - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 12/1)
The West Point Stakes is chock full of hard-knocking turf males. Rinaldi is the controlling speed and if left alone on the lead he might be long gone. But at short odds, I’m taking a chance someone like Mo Ready will go with him and if that’s the case, then Sanctuary City looks like the strongest closer in the field. This winner of 4 of 12 races has a win at the distance and produced his career best speed figure two races back with today’s rider aboard. 12/1 is tremendous value.

Race 9: Bobby Bo - 2 pts win - BEST BET (US Morning Line Odds: 2/1)
The Albany Stakes - named for New York’s state capital which is located just 30 minutes south of Saratoga is run here at 1 1/8th miles and Bobby Bo ships from the west coast for trainer Bob Baffert. Even though he’s only got a maiden win to his credit, that maiden win was huge. If he can repeat that effort he will be a handful here.
Good luck to everyone playing Friday’s races from Saratoga!!
