Friday at Saratoga: After 2 winners Thursday, God's Tipster picks 3 races including the Lake George Stakes

We started things off with a BEST BET winner in Race 6 when Derrynane won VERY impressively on debut. I think this runner may have Stakes races in her future. In Race 8 we won our second of two 2 point selections when Lovely Lucky, who had a few anxious moments in the stretch, prevailed and outclassed her foes. In Race 9, Portilla was stretching to 1 1/8th for the first time and she made a move on the turn but wasn’t able to sustain it with the added distance and flattened out late.
We are back to Saratoga for a Friday card beneath beautifully sunny skies with fast and firm conditions expected. Here goes:

Race 5: Fleeting Glimpse - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 20/1)
This is a maiden special weight race for three-year-olds and up and there are a few runners in here that have run before and run well. I’m taking a chance with Fleeting Glimpse because of a statistic I came across with trainer Jena Antonucci. She doesn’t start too many runners at Saratoga but over the last two years she’s run three on turf and has finished second once third once and fourth once at odds of: $19.70/1, $16.50/1 and $40.50/1. It’s safe to say that if she’s shipping a runner here that they’re ready to go. This one has some fast works buried in her past performances and has the looks of a live longshot.
Race 7: Brunate - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 8/1)
Trainer H. James Bond has had a knack for winning races in Saratoga these last few years and this year he’s 2 for 6 to start things off. Brunate owns the field’s highest speed figure at this track and has good stalking speed. He should be able to sit from just off the pace. His trainer has given him some time off since his last start and he looks plenty ready to go with a rider who wins 43% of the time with this barn.

Race 9 - Runaway Rumour - 2 pts win - BEST BET (US Morning Line Odds: 6/1)
This afternoon’s feature race came up a corker! The Grade 3 Lake George Stakes at 1 Mile and Runaway Rumour is an undefeated 3 for 3. Some members may remember we had her on Belmont Stakes day when she won the final race of the day. She closed her final 1/4 mile in a blistering 22.17 seconds in her most recent start and nobody has run that fast. With speed like Jouster and Navratilova signed on here her late kick should have the right setup. Odds will be generous because this 20% winning barn isn’t widely known.
