We started the day with Yes I’m Evil in Race 5 being rated off a slow pace. He closed late for 4th but I would’ve preferred a more aggressive ride on this one. Mused ran similarly and although she ran fourth, she was only beaten a head and a nose for second. In Race 8, our longshot - Riding on a Winner was overmatched and never got out of first gear finishing 7th. Rinaldi got us a wire-to-wire win in the day’s feature race and unfortunately Strong Moment fell entering the stretch in Race 10.
I handicapped a total of 8 races for Saturday – four for the Haskell card at Monmouth and four for Saratoga. At Monmouth the riders are riding without riding crops during this meet so keep that in mind as you wager. We have a 40% chance of rain in the forecast at Monmouth and an 80% chance of rain at Saratoga. Let’s get to work:
