Race 4: SCRATCH

Once again we were impacted by the dreaded “scratch fairy” who waved her wand and got us for the third time in as many days this week. This time our BEST BET was the victim. Our other two plays for the day were both long shots. Dixie Kitten was held off the pace but didn’t have enough punch when it counted in Race 6. In Race 8 First Line was going first time turf for his new connections and hung around til the far turn before fading in the lane.

For Saturday I was going to look solely at Belmont Park but with the Belmont Stakes being just last Saturday, I found the quality of the Churchill Downs card to be a little stronger so I went there. For a detailed analysis of my selections please see below:
