Friday’s Recap from Gulfstream Park:
Race 1: 1st@ 1.80-1 (US) 5.00-1 (EU) 🔥🔥
Race 3: 6th@ 46.90-1
Race 4: 4th@10.60-1
Race 10: 2nd@ 3.50-1
We kicked off our day with a nice score by Mamba On Three, easily winning off the long layoff. He was bet down from his 5-1 morning line to 9/5 favoritism here in the States but I spoke to a few European members who caught 9/2 and 5/1 on the books. In Race 3 we took a shot with Rubysa but she didn’t have much run when it counted. Our pick in Race 4 - Tiz a Prince will be put on our “horses to watch” list as we thought he was well bred for turf. After breaking poorly, he was taken 7 wide on the far turn and finished with a rush. In Race 10, Family Time got a great trip and ran his race. He beat 8 other runners but couldn’t catch Short Circuit who had similar numbers.
We are set for a fantastic Saturday of racing. We’ve got the Florida Derby card from Gulfstream Park where skies will be sunny and warm with fast and firm surfaces. I also have 3 MORE bonus picks for Gulfstream Park and a Dubai World Cup selection for exclusive Betting Gods members only.

Saturday Picks
Gulfstream Park:
Race 1: Shaftesbury - 1 pt win (ML Odds: 3-1) Todd Pletcher is capping off another stellar meet at Gulfstream Park and he runs Shaftesbury here fourth time out, and third time on turf. In his most recent turf start he made a strong move to take the lead in the stretch but was quickly overhauled by Annex who went on to win the Palm Beach Stakes in his next start. This 1/2 brother to multiple stakes winning and Grade 1 placed Locte. Form muddied up by his last which was on dirt and that should inflate the odds a bit.
Race 5: Basin - 1 pt win (ML Odds: 5/2)
Grade 1 winning Basin makes his return to the races after an August layoff where he was a bang-up 2nd behind Yaupon - one of the top sprinters in the country last year. Derby trail experiment was a failure and Basin is better served as a sprinter/miler. Pletcher has been training this one at Palm Beach Downs and horses coming from there have been killers. Looking for an emphatic win.
Race 11: Annex - 2 pts win - BEST BET - (ML Odds 3-1)
We had Annex last time out in the Palm Beach Stakes which he won by a neck over Scarlet Sky whom I hold in very high regard. I like the way Annex has been accelerating in his wins. He looks like one with a bright future and as long as the pace is strong enough, which it should be, Annex will be tough to hold back.
Race 14: Collaborate - 1 pt win (ML Odds: 6-1)
Today’s Grade 1 Florida Derby is an exciting race on paper. Greatest Honor may be best but 6/5 odds on a horse who’ll be up against it from a pace scenario, we’ll look elsewhere. Gulfstream has been particularly speed favoring these past few weeks and without much speed signed on, Collaborate and Spielberg look like they’ll be the controlling speeds and my initial selection was Spieberg. But I realized that Spielberg’s best race was run over a sloppy track at Oaklawn Park. His best speed figures over a fast track are well below the best in here. Collaborate won emphatically breaking his maiden on the Fountain of Youth undercard and possesses enough speed to lead or stalk early. I think he battles Spielberg all the way around the track with Greatest Honor finishing a discouraged third without enough pace to close into. Collaborate’s maiden win was right with the best of these. That gives him more upside in my book and at 6-1, he offers value as a front runner in a race devoid of speed. Trained by Saffie Joseph 21% at Gulfstream Park.
Best of luck 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 to all our members playing Saturday’s races from Gulfstream Park .
