On Pearl Harbor Day Monday, RT picks races 2 through 10 at Parx

His first race at Parx goes off at 12:56 pm EST.

Can a person be colder? It was a tough weekend. Let’s add a little cash to this day of infamy. Races are at Parx.

Race 2 is a $12.5K Claimer for 3yo’s+ NW2 going 6f

Hot pace (for $12.5K claimers) line up to the outside will give Gerardo Milan on #1 Royal Coup (5/1) on the rail a ground saving and closing trip. #7 The Dustman (9/2) is coming out of a strong key race and is in an excellent form cycle.

Race 3 is a $7.5, 5.5F, claiming race for 3yo+ NW3l

#4 West Fork (10/1) is my choice. This is the only horse in this race with multiple wins this year, much less lifetime. First off the claim for Bryant Taylor (10%). #6 Travelin Gambler (15/1) has a win in 10 tries this year and of you toss out the last race in the slop, he hit a respectable Equibase number in that. Yes, #5 Talented Son (5/2) has put up higher numbers against better; however, losing can become a habit and this gelding has been summarily smoked its last three.

Race 4 is a $10K claiming race for maiden fillies and mares 3yo+ going 7f

I am loathe to bet a horse that has not won in twelve tries, yet #7 Yourindenial (5/1) looks like the one who has any spring in her step. #6 Leftatthealter (15/1) has flashed some early speed of late and may get a slice. #10 Ain’t None Lucky (9/5) is the deserving favorite on paper and will probably win due to lack of any kind of competition, regardless of coming from an unfavorable post. Pass this race

Race 5 is a $25k maiden claimer for 2yo filles going one mile, seventy yards.

#5 Trust Fund Girl (9/2) is my choice with Frankie aboard. Gets 2nd Lasix, blinkers and was a favorite in her first, and only time out.

Race 6 is an $8K claimer for 3yo+ NWx going a mile

#7 Spring Emperor (7/2) has the ever so dangerous duo of Ness/Frankie, is an old pro at Parx and has had a solid campaign this year. Better yet, this horse has a bounce pattern making him on an upswing today. The choice. #4 Loan Me Your Ear (4/1) can present an opportunity at a price with the class drop, turn back in distance and a second chance with Jamie Rodriguez. #1 Asphalt Paving (5/1) is one to include in your exotics.

Race 7 - a $50K optional claimer for 2yo filles NWx or NW2 going 6f

#4 Expurgated (8/1) is my choice. Kathleen DeMasi 20% first off the claim and won its debut going away, more like blown them away. 2nd Lasix today and the same jockey. #6 Aegean Sea (2/1), on paper, is the one to beat. That said, I have skepticism towards both tracks numbers from which she hailed.

Race 8 - #3 Admiral Abe along with #10 Smokin Nitro and #5 Brilliant Chase

Race 9 - #12 Kidnapped, #7 Plane Drunk and my shot #2 Maythehorsebewithu
