Bet Horse Racing: RT and SmartCap return with two Thursday races at Belmont

Race 5 is a $10K claimer for 3yo+ NWx going 8.5f
#7 Later Cat (9/2) is coming off a six furlong win at Monmouth and has never raced at this distance. He is 3:0-0-0 at Belmont and whereas his numbers are in the same vain as this group, there are too many mitigating factors, so I’ll stay away. #5 Financial Freedom (4/1) is fresh off the claim for Karl Grusmark and has our best overall speed He is 7:2-1-0 for $26K at this distance and a very sharp work four days ago signals readiness. #8 Eden Ridge (15/1) has excellent SmartCap numbers and is to be included in your exotics. #4 Mills (3/1) is 10:1-3-3 for $88K at this distance. He has best overall class, near best speed and second best last race. He is 9:1-3-1 for $77K at Belmont, yet his trainer is only 8% moving horses down in class.
My choice is #5 Financial Freedom
Race 9 is an Optional Claimer for $80K at Belmont park. This is an inner turf race going 8.5 furlongs for state bred fillies three years old NWx
SmartCap/Equibase has #3 Crystalle (2/1) with best overall class, speed and last. However, she has not raced since November of last year and her works signal that she may need a race. Our next best numbers are #2 Queens Embrace (4/1) who was last seen in the Saratoga Oaks and was summarily smoked. Today, she is in for a tag, which is of concern. The public is going to fawn over #4 Capital Structure (8/5), a Chad Brown trainee, who has raced once and won going away – a $45K open maiden race. Today, she faces experienced horses and whereas her last was impressive, and she gets a 2nd jolt of Lasix, it’s concerning that, given all of the races between her debut on July 17th and now, she has not returned for a race. That brings us to my choice, #5 Logic N Reason (7/2) who is 3:1-0-1 for $51K at Belmont on the turf. She showed some jump in her last and has had two solid workouts leading up to this.
