Wednesday at Delaware Park: RT picks the 7th with the help of the SmartCap system

I figured it was time for me to get off my hiat-ass and post a quick play today.

There is a 50% chance of rain in Wilmington for Delaware Park, so tread cautiously.

Using Equibase/SmartCap, #1 Fly On Angel (6/1) has best overall class and near best overall speed. She gets a 5 on our early speed rating and since she has had no races or workouts at Delaware, she is a pass.

#2 Perfect Reins (3/1) ships in from Delta Downs where she last competed in a restricted state stakes race and was never a factor. She does have best last and near best overall speed with near best class. Has three god works and her trainer is 13% off 2-6 months. This one is a hmmmm

#8 She’s Achance Too (2/1) claimed in June of last year for $35K for trainer Jason Egan she has shown little, albeit in the Maryland Million Distaff and her last, a $25K aoc a month ago, she did little to show an improved form. On the positive side of the ledger, new trainer Mark Reid and jockey Alexander Crispin are 50% together with four wins.

#4 Stealin’ Magnolias (15/1) has best overall speed and next best last. This is primarily from the company ran against as her final numbers, in a word, suck.

# 5 Miss Tap Dance (4/1) gets an 8 on early speed figures and frankly, I believe she’s going to wire this field. Jamie Ness is 23% off the bench and hot jock Carol Cedeno, will get her out to the front and control the tempo eventually making this into a two furlong race. Her last four works have been excellent and she’s in great form.
