SmartCap has #1 Heavens Whisper (1/1) checking off all the boxes. She’ll be tough to beat with her record of 29: 13-5-5 and at the distance, she’s 12:5-2-3. However, this race screams pace meltdown with #2 Take Charge Erica (3/1) and #4 Charge It Jen (4/1) vying for lone speed with #1. Given that, closer, #6 Over The Blues (9/2) looks to have shot at tiring horses.

Indiana Grand Race 1, Post time: 2:20 pm EDT

The $75k Hoosier Breeders Sophomore Stakes, Indiana bred 3yo fillies going 8.5f

The horse to beat in this is #1 Copper Nickel (3/5) and deservedly so. His speed figures have been far superior to the rest of the field and he’ll probably get the job done. My play in this will be a place bet on #5 She’s The Cause (9/2). Having a leading jockey, Deshawn Parker, in the irons should keep this filly close.

Keeneland Racing Race 7, Post time 4:24 pm EDT

$50K Starter Allowance for 3yo+ NW$x going one mile

#1 Admire (5/1) has best overall speed and a last out winner. In his last, a key race, the runner have come out of it scoring sub Equibase scores to their previous race, therefore, look for Talamo to take the lead and fade off.

#7 Father G (4/1) has best overall class and near best overall speed. He also has best last and is 3:1-0-1 at the distance. He has amassed a $11K per race average that bests this field.

#3 Frau Mauro (8/1) Asmussen/Santana entry will not go off at 8/1 when it’s post time. He has near best overall class and near best speed. He too is 3:1-0-1 at the distance and we’ll see if Asmussens’ ineptitude at routes over the CD track continues at Keeneland. Drury/Hernandez hitting at 40%.

#11 Lngtermrelationshp (6/1) has co-best last and Tyler Gafflione getting a second ride today. In his last, he sat a perfect rail trip until trying to get through in the stretch. When he finally got some daylight, he shot through to finish a most game second. Today will be an altogether different trip coming from the far outside and if he gets tucked in fast enough, he’ll be a danger late. 3:1-0-1 at Keeneland and 8:1-4-1 at the distance.

My pick: I’m sticking with the numbers and taking #7 Lngtermrelationshp and then use the above four in a trifecta play.
