Gotta get down on Friday ... to Oaklawn Racing where SmartCap and RT have picked the first 4 races

Post time for the first race at Oaklawn is 2:05 pm EDT

Yesterday was so much fun, I am going to do it again today. We're going to pick the first 4 races at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.

Lost $1 yesterday.

Since returning, I am 26: 8-6-1

Using $2/w and $4/place, that’s $161 bet, $182.70 returned: for a net of $22.70 - an roi of 13.48%.

Race 1

#6 C P Quality has our best overall speed and class. Claimed two back and when entered in the last, got hung in traffic and missed by 1.5 lengths. In what appears to be a step up in class today, this race is not a step up in money. This mare is 5: 1-1-1 for $59,050 or $11.8/race at OP and $7577 lifetime per race – best of this group.

#7 Giro Kate claimed two back for Cipriano Contreras who is 36% moving horses down the claiming ranks. Big class dropper today and has Martin Garcia (29% last 10, 20% in routes overall) in the irons. This filly out of Street Sense has our next best overall class rating, best last two cumulative and second-best overall speed. She also has the second-best last numbers, although not reflected in her margin of loss. #9 Destiny’s Love is first off the claim for Diodoro who is 29%; he is also 28% with last winners and this gray filly is going for three wins in a row at OP. Overall OP record is 4: 2-1-0, so she’s not to be ignored at the window.

Race 2

#1 So Alive trainer Brad Cox checks all the boxes with this son of Super Saver. 22% off layoff, 35% moving class down, 23% in routes and has All Star jockey Javier Castellano aboard. Fair Grounds shipper has best last, best overall class, second best speed and next best $$/race with $11.8K. #11 Tez is second off the layoff, trainer Tom Amoss is 29% going down in class and has our second best last numbers. The pace of this race will set up ideally for jockey Bridgmohan if he can work out the trip. #4 Mr. Ankeny has strong best last numbers as well as speed and class ratings. Into Mischief colt is going from sprints to a route and is fourth off the layoff versus much tougher. Has the distance pedigree for this.

Include in exotics: #3 Mo’s Mojo 8: 1-3-0 for $116K at OP.

Race 3

# 7 The Mary Rose is going to take a lot of money and if #2 All About Clara had an extra forty yards in the last, she would have taken it. The Mary Rose has best last, best overall speed and best overall class. Will be the one to beat. #8 Too Pretty will contend today for 33% winning trainer Daniel Peitz after just graduating her past out.

Race 4

#14 Powerful Ally (ae) is a lover of OP scoring two wins, two places in nine tries for $127K. Stay Thirsty son is facing much easier and will get a pace to close in to. #1 Bubbas Dixie will have the benefit of the track bias in routes to the inside and has rider Calvin Bo-Rail up again. Seems like a good fit here. Has our best last and second best overall speed rating with a near best class rating. #6 Hinton has our best overall class and speed ratings and in his four times of late at Oaklawn, today appears to be the only day he will get a dry track. #9 Satellite has team Santana/Villafranco and leaving them out of your ticket is akin to betting against Elon Musk these days.

Ticket

6-7-9/1-4-11/2-7/14-1-6-9 - $36

Without the 14, it will be $27

My bet

Win/place on All About Clara in the third

Pick 4 – 6/1/2/1
