FREE SmartCap Horse Racing pick for Thursday's 3rd race at Gulfstream Park

For Thursday, Jan. 16, we are going back to Gulfstream for the 3rd race. This is a $62.5K Optional Claimer for 4yo and up fillies and mares who have never won $10K other than. This will be contested over a mile and a sixteenth.

Using Equibase speed and class ratings, I am going to bet straight along with our SmartCap program and taking #4 Bimini (10/1). The stretch out and switch to Johnny V will be a pick up for this filly. Of the five entrants, Bimini and #2 Nikki Beach (2/1) are the only ones to be dropping in class after steady diets of tougher competition. The difference is in the numbers that SmartCap revealed…..and of course, taking a shot on a 10/1 horse.
