1:12est Race 2

$5K Claimers NW2 since, 3yo+ going 1 mile and 70 yards

#4 Here’s Paco (4/1) Presque shipper recently had a trainer change and as you can see by the pp, Gerald Brooks has given him three solid works over a non-synthetic surface. He should be good to go in this race and a 43% win rate for jockey/trainer combo is eye opening.

RT

#7 Malibu West (5/2) $100K purchase by Maximum Security owners Gary & Mary West has not produced up to expectations. With a sire of Smart Strike and a Dam of Magic Vixen whom is out of Tapit, you can see the allure, yet they have sat idly with the same trainer for the past eleven races without a win. He does get second best numbers in this and figures in to the mix.

1:40est Race 3

$5K Claimers, 3yo+ going 6 furlongs

#6 D’money Honey (5/1) dropping back a notch after a competitive race just eight days ago, this Bernardini geldings’ connections figure to strike while the iron is hot. He is the only horse in this race with a competitive recent trip over the course and that happened to get our best last numbers. Joam Toledo back aboard and he is going to take him to the lead today and not be caught.

#2 Joe Bailey (3/1) drops back to this level where he scored a solid win three weeks ago getting an Equibase figure of 93 and won going away. First time in the irons is Aguston Bracho who has been solid lately getting 20% winners and rides for trainer Nestor Rivera (25%) for the first time.

#8 Ohio Player (8/5) ran like a 20/1 shot in The $150K Best of Ohio Sprint Stakes on October 26th having not been a factor at all and is now in a $5K claimer? After several races at Arlington on turf and tapeta, I am going to factor him in exotics, but am not convinced he’s worthy of a short price. It may take another race or two to re-acclimate to dirt.

Bets $35/w $70/p #6 $2 Exacta Box 6-2-8

2:08est Race 4

$23.5K Allowance for 2 yo’s that are NW2 going 6 furlongs

#4 Ryan’s Cat (5/2) Indiana Grand shipper just smoked a 1:10 $32K allowance company race only to be DQ’d. A near repeat of that will take this easily. There is quite a number of front runners in this and coming from Indiana Grand, where it is more oriented to closers, look for jockey John McKee and trainer James Chapman (26% win combo), to keep him near the pace and make his move at the top of the stretch. Has our best last numbers.

Bets $50/w $100/p #4

$.50 Tri 1-7/1-7-8/4, 1-7/4/1-7-8, 4/1-7/1-7-8

RT

Today’s Timeform/Equibase comparison is a $34k Allowance race at Remington. This is for fillies and mares going 6.5 furlongs. We’re getting somewhat similar results with the 5 & 9 and with Equibase, the 6 surfaced as the lead speed. We’ll see.
