Thoroughbreds Monday: McMudder picks races at Delaware and Parx

No Monday racing this year at Saratoga means the focus remains on Parx and Delaware. Mick wants to throw out an option to you loyal readers. Should he be covering other tracks? Is there love out there for Presque Isle or Penn National? The summer racing is so good this year that covering other venues is under consideration but you, the loyal reader, needs to weigh in so Mick knows where to go!

Delaware Race 3

3-Do With Pride woke up with soft turf at Suffolk last out, gets super hot jockey Angel Suarez in the irons, and should be fairly priced. 8-Follow the Signs makes his first start for en fuego trainer Jamie Ness and plunges. Hard to ignore or like. 2-Hey Big Guy takes an even bigger drop and comes off a freshener. Again, hard to like and hard to ignore.

Parx Race 4

A race full of old class mares struggling to find their way at higher levels. 10-Natalie La Rose may have been the fastest of all of these and needs to find that speed today breaking from the outside. She needs to show more to see this out. 9-Littlemissbusiness needs to work a trip with her biggest challengers immediately inside and outside. A bad break at this distance could be disaster and pilot Frankie Pennington knows it. 8-Mettemarlamelva is the other outside mare and this one may need to take back and make a run. She is capable but the finish line comes quickly at 5.5f. Would favor at 6f.

Delaware Race 5: 8-Dig In needs to live up to his name and should back on turf.

Parx Race 6: 3-Sight Line needs a little racing luck and should get it with a favorable post position. Look for him to slip away and stay there.
