Brad Paisley hitting AyCee; Southside Johnny Philly-bound

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. for country king Brad Paisley’s Aug. 9 performance at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. Opening the show will be platinum-selling Chris Lane.

Paisley is one of the country realm’s biggest acts. His resume includes three Grammys, two American Music Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards and 14 Country Music Association Awards (including Entertainer of the Year).

He has 24 number one hits--21 of which he wrote—and has sold some 20 million albums worldwide.

Also on sale Friday at 10 a.m. is the May 11 gig by area favorites Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes at SugarHouse.

With the exception of Bruce Springsteen, no musical act has been more closely identified with Asbury Park the past 40-plus years than “Southside” Johnny Lyon and his Asbury Jukes, a horn-driven party band that specializes in high-energy, R&B-infused rock ’n’ roll.
