Mother’s Day fun at Golden Nugget AC is a lock(et)

Golden Nugget Atlantic City is offering guests a unique spin on Mother’s Day gift-giving with what it has dubbed a Locket Bar Event.

Between 2 and 6 p.m. on May 11, visitors can create custom photo lockets—made with pieces from the Monica Rich Kosann collection--at d’Oro, the bayside gambling den’s jewelry outlet.

The Saturday-only program is but one of the Mother’s Day promotions offered this week by the Nugget. Others include:

Champagne Brunch Buffet (May 12; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; $34.99). Includes Grand Marnier Cinnamon Swirl French Toast, Alaskan Crab Legs with Drawn Butter and a glass of champagne.

Rejuvenating Spa Treatments (all week; 50 minutes; $105): Choose from either the Soothing Avocado Hydration Facial or 50-minute Agave Nectar Massage.

Mom’s Day brunch at Ocean

If tu madre is a fan of Spanish cuisine, then Amada at Ocean Casino Resort will certainly make her Mother’s Day—or any other Sunday, for that matter. Beginning May 12, the acclaimed eatery from uber-chef Jose Garces is offering a $49 Andalusian-inspired brunch (10 a.m.-2 p.m.) whose menu features such dishes as Tortilla Espanola (a traditional Spanish omelet with saffron aioli), a carving station, Sangria pancakes and assorted breads as well as traditional breakfast favorites.
