Borgata planning a ‘Suped’-up Sunday

Special deals highlight first Super Bowl with sports betting

Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa is celebrating the first Super Bowl of the legal sports-betting era with a property-wide promotion dubbed “The Big Game at Borgata.”

Beginning at 4 p.m. Sunday, those in attendance can watch the Patriots-Rams throw-down (and the pre-game hoopla) in Atlanta at various locations, and can avail themselves of a variety of food and drink specials available throughout the bayside gambling den.

The action in Borgata’s sports book will include opportunities to make prop bets on such things as the most penalties, largest lead and rushing attempts. Windows open at 11 a.m. and, of course, bettors must be 21 or older.

On the food and drink front, scores of special deals will be available at outlets including Angeline by Michael Symon, Bobby Flay Steak, Wolfgang Puck American Grille and Level One.

If you just want a place to follow the action, Super Bowl LVIII can be viewed on televisions throughout the property including on the casino floor and at Level One, Gypsy Bar, Long Bar and the bars at Angeline, Bobby Flay and Wolfgang Puck.

And if you’re afraid of overdoing the celebrating after you hit that crazy long-shot prop bet, room packages beginning at $99 (including a $50 bar credit) are available. For reservations, call 609-317-1000. For more information, visit the Borgata web site.
