The Saturday Philly Props: Phillies v Marlins, Zach Eflin, Jordan Yamamoto

At least the Phillies are beating the Mets and losing to the Marlins all the time instead of the other way around. Tree . . . empty forest . . . etc.

Not really sure where to go here. Would love to pile on some overdue offense against the Marlins (Phillies have 1, 2, 3, 4 runs against them in some order the last four games), but they looked so blah Friday, we’re gonna pass.

They did manage to deal Saturday’s Miami started Jordan Yamamoto the first earned runs of his career (in his third career start) the last time out, but it still doesn’t seem worthwhile.

Instead, we’ll go strikeouts. Yamamoto is 5.5; Phillies’ hurler Zach Eflin is 4.5. Both teams whiffed in double digits Friday night, so a half dozen by each starter is not a lot to ask on Saturday afternoon.

Pick: Zach Eflin Over 4.5 Strikeouts ($5/-148)
Pick: Jordan Yamamoto Over 5.5 Strikeouts ($5/+115)
