The weather outside – and the Phillies on the diamond – is frightful. So we are not touching the Friday sog-fest with the Marlins.
Instead, we will get a jump on the Sixers for Saturday’s Eastern Conference Semifinal series against the Raptors. (And we’ll probably have more Saturday afternoon.)
In his first three games as a Sixer against Toronto, JJ Redick scored 6, 15 and 13 points and shot 5-for-19 on three-pointers. In his last two contests against Kyle Lowry and friends, he has popped in 25 and 22 and made 9 of 17 from the arc.
The Sixers’ game on the offensive end runs much smoother when he is launching confident shots from afar, even those running three-pointers.
Sure, it’s fun to watch those, seeing him heading off horizontally into the sunset as his threes drop from the sky . . . but kids “don’t try this at home!” Remember: Legs together, elbows tight, follow through, keep you eyes straight ahead.
