The Tuesday Philly Props: Phillies Harper, Hoskins

Home Runs

The temperature is up (60s) . . . The winds will be down (into the single digits) . . . And Bryce Harper and Rhys Hoskins are getting antsy!

Harper is riding a 4-for-25 slide with 3 walks and a single extra-base hit (double). Hoskins is right there with him: 4-for-26, 5 walks and a pair of two-base hits.

They are hitting identical .268s (15-for-56) on the season, and that ain’t getting anybody to the World Series.

They are itching to do something good (which you know if you watched Harper’s eighth-inning at-bat Monday), so let’s scratch right along with them and get back on our early season Home Run Props that worked so well.

Also, don’t underestimate the mini-class trip to Independence Mall a handful of Phillies - BH and RH among them - made Tuesday afternoon. Like a good jump-shooter in a slump getting an easy layup to restore confidence, a little change of pace and scenery in the monotonous day-to-day life of a major leaguer can do wonders.

And since they hung out at the Liberty Bell together, let’s peel off a little from each bet and lay it on a 12-1 parlay that they homer together a few hours late on Tuesday as well.

Pick: Harper to Homer ($4/+400)
Pick: Hoskins to Homer ($4/+275)
Pick: Harper and Hoskins to Homer ($2/+1200)
