We are steering away from our early-season obsession with the Phillies’ Home Run Props – we’ll get back to those, don’t worry – but with the weather being what is will be like Friday night at Citizens Bank Park, we found another way to go.
Phillies’ RHP Nick Pivetta has now gone 10 straight starts without a victory. He’ll take to a wet mound here against the Twins, and while he may be able to squeeze out a victory, there is little reason to believe he will do so by striking out as many as seven Twins.
He has surpassed six Ks just once in his last 11 starts and only two teams in baseball have whiffed fewer times than Minnesota (43 in five games).
