The Thursday Philly Props: Flyers

A different kind of Middle

For a while, the Flyers were saving a lot of their offense for the third period. They had a string of 12 straight games with a third-period goal and scored a total of 21 in the final 20 minutes of regulation over that time.

But that well has dried up. They have just two third-period goals -- both against the Capitals last week -- in the last four games.

Now, the period of choice for the Flyers’ offense appears to be the second.

They have scored in the middle stanza in five straight games and tallied three in each of the last two second periods.

Pick: Flyers To Win Second Period (+172)
