NBA Best Bets and Player Props for Thursday, March 14

Our best bets for Thursday night include the Houston Rockets (-7.5) and 3 player props.

Thursday night's 6-game NBA slate kicks off with a banger matchup between the Suns and Celtics. The second game of the TNT double-header is much less intriguing given Luka's injury status.

We've analyzed the full slate to bring you our best bet and favorite player props from tonight's action.

Best Bet for Thursday: Rockets (-7.5)

If you aren't betting the Rockets at home, you aren't paying attention. Houston is 21-11 (21-10-1 ATS) at home and 9-24 (13-19-1 ATS) on the road. Thursday night is a home matchup against a Wizards team that not only has the worst record in the NBA this season, but is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games in Houston.

The reason this game is only 7.5 is the injuries to Cam Whitmore and Alperen Sengun. However, we have to keep in mind that with Bagley and Holmes out, the Wizards don't have a single healthy frontcourt player.

NBA Player Props for Thursday

This Thursday, look for OG Anunoby to continue to make a positive impact on offense for the Knicks, while KD should have his way against Tatum and the Celtics in the best matchup of the night in Boston.

F OG Anunoby (NYK)

OVER 13.5 PTS

In games OG has played in a Knicks uniform, they are now 15-2. Look for another win tonight against a Portland team that has played better as of late, but will still be home underdogs.

Scoring 14 points in a blowout win last game against Philly, look for Anunoby to contribute in a variety of ways in a closer game while maintaining his solid 3-point shooting (39% with NYK). Portland allows nearly 50% shooting to opponents.

F Kevin Durant (PHX)

OVER 38.5 PRA

Looking at the month of March, Kevin Durant has been one of the top players in the Western Conference averaging 33.7 PPG and 7.0 boards on 54/44/81 splits.

Looking at this matchup against Boston, KD has hit this PRA mark in three straight games dating back to his time with the Brooklyn Nets. Looking for this matchup to hit its over, which is currently set at 227 on most books, Durant should shine again as a playmaking scorer against Brown and Tatum.

F Dillon Brooks (HOU)

UNDER 19.5 PRA

We are looking at Dillon Brooks’ under PRA today against the Wizards. With this matchup capable of getting out of hand early on, look for Houston’s guards to be the ones to take advantage of a cake walk matchup while Ime Udoka might look to Jabari Smith and Cam Whitmore on the offensive end more than Brooks who has fallen out of the groove lately.

Dillon has shot less than 30% from deep this month while failing to hit the 20 PRA mark in each of his last five outings.

C Deandre Ayton (POR)

OVER 1.5 AST

Deandre Ayton has quietly played like a top three big man in the NBA over his last five games. DA is averaging 24.6 PPG and 16.4 RPG on 64% FG shooting and 90% FT shooting over that stretch while the Blazers have picked up two wins.

While we aren’t targeting Ayton’s point or rebound total this game against a tough New York defense, we are looking for Ayton to create a few opportunities for the young Blazer scorers on cuts or three point opportunities.

This is the first time all season that Deandre has gone three straight games without recording two assists or more, so look for that streak to end tonight in what could end up being a close contest.
