Wayne Rooney’s boyhood club, current team, both rolling into 2021
Everton heads into the new year in the Premier League top four, and just four points off the top, as Carlo Ancelotti’s side continues its renaissance.
But how about Wayne Rooney’s Derby County team in the EFL Championship, sitting sixth in the form guide over its last six matches, and playing well under the first-time manager.
I can’t lie, I am pulling for him; he is my favorite player from his time at Manchester United. But he truly has the Rams playing well, and has them climbing the table. The same can’t be said of Derby’s opponent Friday, Sheffield Wednesday, which is currently a mess.
I am going to go with the Rooney double, today, taking his boyhood team (Everton) and his current side (Derby) on the money lines.
