D.C. Votes to Legalize Sports Betting

Howard Gensler

As if there wasn’t enough game-playing and partisan rooting in Washington, D.C., the D.C. Council voted 11-2 Tuesday to legalize sports betting.

The Associated Press reports that pending a successful review by Congress, sports betting will be allowed “at the city’s stadiums and arenas, private businesses like restaurants and liquor stores, and within the city limits on a mobile app.”

D.C. doesn’t have any casinos.

And since it’s sure to get major action in Washington, the odds of Donald Trump being impeached by the House are +120 YES, -160 NO.

Trump + 175 remains the favorite to be re-elected per BetOnline, with Kamala Harris +800, Beto O’Rourke +1000, Joe Biden +1400 and Bernie Sanders +1600.
